Dear Brothers and Sisters
 
I wanted to send a sincere thank you on behalf of the Cummings family and Station #7 for all the support given during these last couple months in support of Larry "Butch" Cummings and his battle with cancer. The hot dog sales, raffle and silent auction event on August 4th was a huge success with a tremendous amount of support given by so many different individuals. We raised just over $14,350.00 and the donations still continue to trickle in from that event. The firefighter Chili cook-off that was held on August 11th @ Greensboro Estates was also a success raising at last count roughly $1,700.00 and a big thanks goes out to Firefighter Jeff Owens for coordinating that particular event.
And of course the PFFG gave a generous donation of $1,500.00 directly to the Cummings family for a Grand total of roughly $17,550.00
 
I  personally want to thank each and every one of you for your generous contributions of support to the Cummings family. As I personally struggle with issues or events that affect our department in a negative way, I find myself energized by these types of events that still prove we are a family and there is still a lot of good in our people and organization.
